About ten years
ago the producers of beverages, mostly winemakers, used the so-called
carton board packaging lined with paper for packing their collections
and high quality products. In manufacturing, it came down to printing
on carton board and then additional pressing on a pad made of wave
board.
However, the poorly designed box as well as
the lengthier production process did not pay off; therefore, until
graphic carton board packaging of high weight was introduced, such
packing was used in a smaller series only for selected products
and special occasions.
Today's technology of printing upholds printing
directly on a pad made of wave board, therefore this kind of packaging
replaced the previously used plastic packaging in, for example,
packing beer bottles.
